Hunts are expensive to run and most Hunts struggle just to break even. Riders who hunt regularly with a hunt pay an annual subscription. Visitors pay a daily fee called the ‘cap’.
In addition, the Braes of Derwent Hunt run regular fundraising events throughout the year most of which appeal to both riders and non-riders alike. We organise pleasure rides including our annual “Jorrocks Jolly”, barbeques, quiz nights, hunt ball, Christmas market and Hound sponsorship to name a few.
